Description

Families’ ideas, decisions and practices play a crucial role in determining individual child multilingualism and societal language survival. This talk reviews the advances in this research area, Family Language Policy (FLP). Referencing current events, I demonstrate the need for FLP to also examine education and government policy as crucial in shaping the family context.
