His pivotal role as Principal at Pan American International High School in Queens marked a turning point for the institution. Inheriting a school teetering on the brink of closure due to poor performance metrics, low graduation rates, and attendance challenges, Dr. Badía orchestrated a remarkable turnaround. Through strategic changes and structured reforms, the school not only witnessed improvements in attendance, academics, and safety but also attained the coveted "Well Developed" rating in New York City's Quality Review. The graduation rate skyrocketed from a mere 50 percent in 2014 to an impressive 90 percent in 2017 and a remarkable 95 percent in 2021, a testament to his unwavering commitment to educational excellence.
