The goal for this study was to address the underrepresentation of Latinx bilingual students in Gifted and Talented Programs in schools in the Texas. Although there is an array of factors that contribute to this underrepresentation, one dominant factor is the identification process. One approach was to survey educational stakeholders on the unique characteristics of gifted bilingual students. The data collected showed the necessity for informational sessions and more inclusive identification process for gifted programs.
