Juntos, en comunidad, we will create consciousness in the transformative camino of advocacy towards emotional intelligence by crafting a writing instruction that will affirm student identity and empower their voices as agents of change; thus, unlocking their full potential en el mundo académico in 2nd-5th Dual Language classrooms. In this practice-oriented session, we will collaboratively discuss resources that center testimonios through authentic writing that draws on their linguistic and cultural assets in order to invite students into a learning space that has often viewed them as visitors to, rather than owners of, the classroom.
