Biography
My name is Sarai Clemente Soli. I was born and raised in Madrid, Spain. I moved to the United States over 15 years ago. I got married in 2016 to my Samoan husband Samson Benjamin Soli who passed away from lung cancer in 2019. Becoming a teacher has been a dream of mine since I was a kid, however, life forced me to take a couple of detours before I could accomplish my dream. For the last 6 years, I have been a Spanish dual immersion teacher for third graders. Recently I have felt the need to expand my knowledge on culturally sustaining pedagogies as I feel the need for my minority students to be more identified and recognized in our society.
