Kaileigh Newman is the Director of Visual Arts for grades Pre-K through 12th in Aldine ISD. Serving as Director for three years, and a total of 12 years of experience in education. As an advocate for visual arts education modeling best practices of instructional practices, create choices and opportunities for students in the arts, as well as work alongside local art partners. She believes in all stories and voices being heard through the arts and strives to support all art educators in the success of our student artists from Pre-K through 12 grade. As a collaborative member of the Teaching and Learning Department, she leads instructional strategies and content district staff development. As well as presents at local and national conferences. She is a graduate of Bowling Green State University and attended the University of Houston for her master’s degree. Teaching brought Mrs. Newman to Houston, Texas, and Aldine ISD. As a classroom teacher, she served as a curriculum writer, presented at staff development, and mentored new teachers.
