Description
This session examines how the selection and implementation of high-quality instructional materials (HQIMs) can influence multilingual education policy. Participants will explore strategies for evaluating materials that support both language development and academic content, while advancing culturally and linguistically responsive practices. Presenters will share tools and case studies to illustrate how HQIMs can shape policies around curriculum adoption, dual-language programming, and educator training. Attendees will leave with actionable strategies to advocate for instructional materials that align with multilingual equity goals and support systemic change in their schools, districts, and states.
